Project Overview

This project focused on providing construction‑stage engineering support for a development where the detailed design package had been prepared by others. Our role was to review the existing design information, assess its technical robustness, and ensure that it aligned with both the project requirements and practical construction considerations. As the build progressed, we remained available to respond to queries, clarify design intent, and help the contractor navigate any issues arising from the inherited documentation.

Key outputs

Our contribution centred on a thorough review of the detailed design pack, identifying any gaps, inconsistencies, or areas requiring clarification before construction advanced. We provided clear technical feedback to strengthen the design information and supported the site team by addressing engineering questions, interpreting design details, and offering guidance where unforeseen conditions or practical challenges emerged.

Value added

By independently reviewing the design prepared by others, we helped reduce the risk of construction delays, rework, and misinterpretation on site. Our involvement ensured that the contractor had access to reliable engineering support, improving confidence in the design and enabling smoother delivery. This focused, responsive role added value by enhancing buildability, resolving uncertainties early, and supporting efficient progress throughout the construction phase.
